The following is meant as a useful guide to help you order the correct trim for your classic car.

Be very careful when ordering your trim parts, chassis numbers etc are very useful but over the years classic cars and their interiors have been changed. Added to this the manufacturers often introduced specification changes and model "facelifts". Consequently "mongrel"cars were often built and sold.

So be warned !!

Listed below are some examples we have encountered over the last 20+ years:

• Door changed and so looks the same from the outside, but the interior door panel can be different ( eg TR3A to TS 60k has square corners but TS60k + has one round corner ).
• Door panels on the Jaguar "E" type series 1.5 & series 2 cars look the same but there is very small differences between the two !
• Trim panels have been changed to an earlier or later style of the same model. Often the basic panel will fit and look "original" BUT the style & trimming of the panels may be different.
• Seat changed, often the correct seat for the marque , but not for the model. Many seats are easily inter-changeable ! Also we have seen totally incorrect seats fitted to a car ( eg Austin-Healey BJ8 seats fitted in a TR3 ! ). There were even cases of cars leaving the factory with incorrect seats fitted ( eg Jaguar "E" type Fixed head coupe leaving the factory with roadster bucket seats fitted ! ). So be careful!
• Gearbox cover changed and so carpet set does not match the car chassis number. Carpet set changed to a style of an earlier or later model.
• Hood frame changed and so quarter panels and hood/tonneau cover may not match the chassis number.

It is very important you check your trim before ordering, as we will supply the trim parts as specified in our catalogue unless you request and order to a different specification.
